Founder of TCOYD, Steve Edelman, M.D. Joins Tandem Diabetes Care Advisory Board

Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc., a privately-held company, today announced Steven V. Edelman, M.D., has joined the organization as a member of its clinical advisory board.
Dr. Edelman, who has been living with diabetes since the age of 15, is the founder and director of Taking Control of Your Diabetes (TCOYD), a national not-for-profit diabetes education organization. Dr. Edelman has authored over 200 articles and five books and has won numerous awards for teaching and humanitarianism. Additionally, Dr. Edelman is an active member of The Endocrine Society, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Diabetes Educators, the Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the International Diabetes Federation.

Dr. Edelman serves as Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the University of California, San Diego and the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System of San Diego.
